Teaser Tuesday - The Girl Who Played With Fire

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their To Be Read (TBR) Lists if they like your teasers!

Here's mine:
"Reluctantly she came to the conclusion that it was no surprise he kept the drawer locked.  She did not like the situation, but she could not think of any immediate pretext for waking him and scaring the shit out of him." -The Girl who Played with Fire, by Stieg Larsson.

  1. ha ha! I like she's kind enough not to want to wake him up and scare the mess out of him. Here's my teaser. :)

  2. LOL! Great teaser! My TT from Paranormalcy is here.

    From the Shadows

  3. What's in the drawer that interests her?

  4. smellincoffee - She is sort of like a ward of the state, and the drawer is in the desk of her "guardian" who has taken advantage of her horribly. So every now and then she sneaks into his house while he's asleep and checks his files to verify that the reports he's filing with the state are positive in her favor - she's blackmailing him, basically! Then, sometimes she'll go wake him up by standing over the bed and staring at him!!
    Thanks for stopping by!!
