Teaser Tuesday - Dead Until Dark

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their To Be Read (TBR) Lists if they like your teasers!

I know, I know.  Once again, more than two sentences - but I had to do the whole scene, it was just too good to chop up!!  I'm thoroughly enjoying this novel, and I encourage you to join me each Monday and Friday for my Read & React feature!  This Friday will be Part 3 (Chapters 5 & 6), but it's not too late to join in!  For more information, read the announcement from last Sunday!  Or go directly to the Read & React posts!
Part 1 - Chapters 1 & 2.
Part 2 - Chapters 3 & 4.
Everyone is welcome - Hope to see you there!!

The Tease:
""That's interesting," he said.  "I had a psychic once.  It was incredible."
"Did the psychic think so?"  My voice was tarter than I'd meant it to be.  I could hear Bill's indrawn breath.
Eric laughed.  "For a while," he answered ambiguously."
- Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse #1), by Charlaine Harris

  7. Great teaser!

    I often go over the two sentence limit--sometimes the scene just needs those extra words to get the full effect.

  8. Hehe, I looooved the Sookie Stackhouse Series.. this season of True Blood looks pretty promising too!

    Happy Reading :)
