Well, I am back from vacation!  I had a lovely week with friends and family, and several very nice days camping at the beach;  but now I'm back, I've finished The Seventh Scroll (finally - review coming soon), and have started a new novel.  I'm only a few pages in, really, so I decided to share the opening paragraph today.

The Tease:

 "The sun is always just about to rise.  Mercury rotates so slowly that you can walk fast enough over its rocky surface to stay ahead of the dawn; and so many people do.  Many have made this a way of life.  They walk roughly westward, staying always ahead of the stupendous day."
